A data layer for Shopify: that's what Littledata solves. Escalafy tells you if you made money.

Littledata is this category's Google Analytics specialist, and it has been since long before server-side tracking got fashionable: ten destinations included on every plan, Segment, Microsoft Ads, Attentive and Recharge among them, and a depth on Shopify — Checkout Extensibility, Hydrogen, Shopify Markets, subscriptions — that few others have. But it is a data layer. It only exists for Shopify, the price on their pricing page is the annual one, and the plan that looks free is the most expensive one they sell.

Updated 2026-10-23

The short answer

These are not the same tool. Littledata fixes the data and delivers it: it takes your Shopify store's events, sends them server-side, and hands them clean to ten destinations — Google Analytics 4 first, and also Meta, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, TikTok, Pinterest, Klaviyo, Attentive, Recharge and Segment. It does that well: 4.8 stars across 147 reviews on the Shopify App Store. And it is the first in this category to touch the profit question at all, with Profit Signal — in beta — which sends gross profit alongside order value so ad platforms bid on margin instead of revenue. That is more than any other pixel does. What it does not do is close your books: gross profit is revenue minus product cost, and it does not subtract Mercado Pago fees, the financing cost of interest-free installments, shipping, or Mercado Libre commissions. And it runs on Shopify only: if you sell on Tiendanube or Mercado Libre, there is no app to install.

How much Littledata costs in 2026

Prices taken from littledata.io/plans and from the Littledata ‑ The Data Layer listing on the Shopify App Store, both on October 23, 2026. The plan is set by how many orders you do per month. Watch this one: the pricing page shows the annual-billing price by default (USD 159 and USD 792). Month-to-month — which is how their own Shopify listing bills you — it is USD 199 and USD 990. Their page's own embedded data says so under those two names: price USD 199 and annualMonthlyPrice USD 159. Below we always use the month-to-month price. There is no free plan: there's a 30-day trial, capped at 500 orders on Flex, 10,000 on Scale and 20,000 on Plus.

FlexUSD 0.35 per order

Free to install, no monthly minimum. All ten data destinations included, plus the Event Editor, Profit Signal, and email and chat support. 30-day trial capped at 500 orders. Note this: at USD 0.35 per order, this plan passes Scale's price at 569 orders a month.

ScaleUSD 199/month (USD 159 billed annually)

1,500 orders/month included. USD 0.15 per order from 1,501 to 3,000, and USD 0.06 per order above 3,000. Adds Session Enrichment with Persistent ID, the Segment destination, headless and Hydrogen support, and priority support.

PlusUSD 990/month (USD 792 billed annually, or USD 9,504/year)

10,000 orders/month included. USD 0.03 per order from 10,001 to 50,000, USD 0.02 up to 100,000, and USD 0.01 above that. Adds multi-store and multi-currency rollups, managed onboarding, an uptime SLA, and dedicated account support.

The fine print

There are two reading traps here and both cut the same way. First: the price you see published is the annual one. Their page opens with the toggle on "Pay annually (Save 20%)" and renders USD 159 and USD 792; if you want to pay month-to-month it is USD 199 and USD 990, 25% more. The second matters more and nobody runs the math on it: Flex, the plan that says "free to install" and "no monthly minimum," is the most expensive plan they sell for any store past 570 orders a month. At USD 0.35 per order, 1,500 orders — exactly what Scale includes for USD 199 — cost USD 525 on Flex. Their own plan-chooser table admits it: Flex is recommended only "under ~500 orders per month, testing the water." And at the top end: the step from Scale to Plus is 5x (USD 199 to USD 990), and because Scale's overage above 3,000 orders is USD 0.06, staying on Scale and paying overage is cheaper than upgrading to Plus until roughly 14,900 orders a month. At 10,000 orders it is USD 844 against USD 990.

Why stores switch from Littledata

Tiendanube and Mercado Libre do not exist in Littledata

We checked today on their own site and on their Shopify App Store listing: the only e-commerce platform they name is Shopify. They describe themselves literally as "server-side tracking for Shopify," and all of their product depth is Shopify — Checkout Extensibility, Hydrogen, Shopify Markets, Shop Pay. No Tiendanube, no Nuvemshop, no marketplace of any kind. If you sell on Mercado Libre, that whole channel is out, along with its category commissions and Full fulfillment costs. If your store runs on Tiendanube, there is no app to install.

Profit Signal sends gross profit, not your profit

This needs saying precisely, because it is the best thing they have and the closest thing to ours. Profit Signal — which their own site marks as beta — sends gross profit alongside order value so Meta and Google optimize on margin instead of revenue. It is a genuinely good idea and no other pixel in this category has it. But gross profit is revenue minus product cost. It does not subtract Mercado Pago fees, the financing cost of offering 3, 6 or 12 interest-free installments, shipping, packaging, Mercado Libre commissions, gross receipts tax (IIBB) or VAT. It helps the ad platform bid better; it does not tell you whether your month closed in the black.

The published price is the annual one, and the "no minimum" plan is the priciest

USD 159 is what you pay prepaying the year. Month-to-month it is USD 199, and that is how their own Shopify listing bills you. And Flex, which comes in through the "free to install, no monthly minimum" door, charges USD 0.35 per order: at 1,500 orders that is USD 525 against Scale's USD 199. Escalafy Pixel bills on the same axis — orders per month — starts at USD 99, has no trap plan and no per-order overage, and the price we publish is the price you pay.

Switching takes five minutes

No data migration, no implementation project. You connect your accounts and Escalafy rebuilds your history on its own. And if your brand already has Littledata feeding Google Analytics 4 and Segment on Shopify, and all you're missing is profitability with your local costs included, you don't have to choose: some operations run both.

  1. 1Connect your store: Tiendanube, Shopify or Mercado Libre.
  2. 2Connect your ad accounts and your payment gateway.
  3. 3Enter your costs once. Escalafy calculates the rest of every order.
“Meta showed me a 4x ROAS, but once I added up the real costs I was barely breaking even. With Escalafy I found campaigns that were losing money, and that Mercado Pago plus installments were eating a brutal share.”

What people ask before switching

For a store selling in LATAM, in most cases yes: Escalafy Pixel does server-side tracking with the Conversions API and persistent visitor identification into Meta, Google, TikTok and Klaviyo, and the dashboard adds what Littledata does not have — your product costs, Mercado Pago fees, the cost of installments, and the Mercado Libre channel. Where it does not replace it is on destinations: Littledata delivers to ten, and four of those we do not have at any price — Google Analytics 4, Segment, Microsoft Ads and Attentive. If your reporting lives in GA4, or you pipe everything into a data warehouse through Segment, that part is theirs and not ours.

Both bill in dollars and on the same axis — orders per month — so the comparison is direct, with no conversion-rate assumption. Month-to-month, Littledata runs USD 199 up to 1,500 orders and USD 990 up to 10,000, with per-order overage in between; Flex charges USD 0.35 per order with no base fee. Escalafy Pixel starts at USD 99 up to 900 orders, goes to USD 199 up to 5,000, USD 279 up to 10,000 and USD 399 up to 25,000. At 10,000 orders the math is USD 844 against USD 279, always taking the cheaper option on their side. Littledata prices verified October 23, 2026 at littledata.io/plans and on their Shopify App Store listing.

No. As of October 23, 2026 the only e-commerce platform their site and their Shopify App Store listing name is Shopify — they describe themselves as "server-side tracking for Shopify." There is no Tiendanube integration, no Nuvemshop, no marketplace. Their ten integrations are analytics, advertising and email: Google Analytics 4, Meta, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Pinterest, TikTok, Klaviyo, Attentive, Recharge and Segment.

Because they are two different prices and both are correct. Their pricing page opens with the toggle on annual billing and shows USD 159 and USD 792 per month — those numbers already have the 20% prepay discount baked in. Their Shopify App Store listing, which is where you install and where billing actually happens, shows the month-to-month price: USD 199 and USD 990. The embedded data on their own pricing page carries both fields, price and annualMonthlyPrice, with exactly those values. Verified October 23, 2026.

For a Shopify brand whose reporting lives in Google Analytics 4 and that needs the GA4 numbers to actually reconcile. That has been their craft for years and they do it better than we do, because we do not send to GA4 at all. Same if you need Segment to move events into a data warehouse, if you use Recharge for subscriptions or Attentive for SMS, if your store is headless on Hydrogen, or if you run several stores and currencies and need the Plus plan's rollups. And if your media team wants Meta and Google bidding on margin instead of revenue, Profit Signal is a piece we do not have today.
