Almost nobody looks for Polar Analytics alternatives because the tool fails. They look because the cheapest plan costs USD 750 a month and because Polar does six or seven different things, of which most stores use two. The useful question is not "what is like Polar" but "which of its pieces do I need, and who sells me that without the whole platform." That is what this list answers.
First: why people look for alternatives
- The floor. USD 750 a month per their Shopify App Store listing, USD 720 per their own pricing page's data, both verified October 30, 2026. There is no free plan, no self-serve price and no published trial: every button says "Book a demo."
- The billing axis. It bills by annual gross revenue band, across 18 steps. Crossing the first boundary takes the bill from USD 720 to USD 1,020 — USD 3,600 more a year for one more dollar of sales — and because the band is set by the year's revenue, one good December leaves you up there for twelve months.
- It does not run on your platform. We searched their own 326-connector page: Tiendanube, Nuvemshop, Mercado Libre, Mercado Pago, VTEX and WooCommerce all return zero results. The only e-commerce platform they name is Shopify.
- You pay for what you do not use. The Core Plan bundles Business Intelligence, the AI agents and the data activations. If all you want is the profitability dashboard, you are paying for a data warehouse, a semantic layer, an MCP and a Slack agent.
1. Escalafy — if you sell in LATAM and your question is profit
This is our tool, so read it with a cool head. Escalafy solves one of the things Polar does: the real P&L of a store selling in LATAM. It adds up Tiendanube, Shopify and Mercado Libre into a single result, and it subtracts what Polar cannot see — the Mercado Pago fee by payment method, settlement timing, the financing cost of offering 3, 6 or 12 interest-free installments, Mercado Libre category commissions and Full fulfillment costs, shipping, packaging, IIBB and VAT. On top of that: profit by product and by SKU, real ROAS after all costs, a forecast of when each sale's money lands, and a dashboard and support in Spanish and Portuguese.
Plans run from USD 19 to USD 549 a month by orders per month, with a permanently free plan up to 50 orders. Escalafy's most expensive plan costs less than Polar's cheapest, and the price is published on the page with no demo in the way.
What we do not do: Amazon, Google Analytics 4, LTV and cohorts, a dedicated data warehouse with SQL access, incrementality tests, and an agent that acts in Slack. None of that at any price. If that is what you went to Polar for, keep reading.
2. Staying on Polar Analytics — if you sell on Amazon or have a data team
This belongs at the top and not at the bottom: for a real share of readers, the right answer is not to move. If your brand sells on Shopify and Amazon, Polar has Seller Central and Vendor Central connectors and we do not have Amazon at any price. If your data team wants its own Snowflake with the keys in hand, SQL access and 400+ pre-built metrics, that is Polar and there is no cheap substitute. If you spend enough on media for a USD 3,200 incrementality test with a data scientist to pay for itself, same again.
And the public numbers back it: 4.9 stars across 116 reviews, with 97% five stars, verified today, and five years in market. If that is your case, the only thing worth reviewing is the band: ask them to show you all 18 steps and negotiate the annual term before you sign.
3. Triple Whale — if you want the dashboard without the data warehouse
This is the comparison people search for most: "polar analytics vs triple whale" is a live Google suggestion, and Polar has its own page comparing itself to them. Triple Whale covers the part most people use — profitability dashboard, attribution, server-side pixel, profit by SKU — from USD 129 a month on its entry paid plan, with a free plan below that. It does not give you the Snowflake, the agent that acts, or incrementality with a data scientist.
The downside is the same as Polar's, and the same reason this series exists: it also scales with GMV, and it does not connect Mercado Libre or Mercado Pago, nor model the cost of installments. The full math is in Escalafy vs Triple Whale.
4. Littledata or Elevar — if what you need is the data going out
If what you use Polar for is the pixel and the data activations, not the BI platform, you are paying a lot for a data layer. Littledata delivers to ten destinations — Google Analytics 4, Meta, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Pinterest, TikTok, Klaviyo, Attentive, Recharge and Segment — from USD 199 a month month-to-month, and it has Profit Signal in beta, which sends gross profit so Meta can bid on margin. Elevar delivers to 46 destinations, including affiliate and SMS, and exports to BigQuery and Pub/Sub.
Both are data layers and neither closes your books. Both run on Shopify only, same as Polar. And both cost between a quarter and a third of Polar's floor if all you want is the event arriving clean where it needs to arrive. They are broken down in Escalafy vs Littledata and in Escalafy vs Elevar.
5. Your own warehouse plus Looker Studio or Metabase — if you have someone to build it
The hottest piece of the Core Plan is the data warehouse with a semantic layer. That can be assembled: BigQuery or your own Snowflake, an ELT like Fivetran or Airbyte to pull Shopify, Meta and Klaviyo, dbt to model the metrics, and Looker Studio or Metabase on top. It costs a fraction of the price in licenses.
The downside is the usual one and it is big: that is not a product, it is a project, and it needs someone to maintain it when Meta changes its API on a Thursday. Polar charges USD 720 a month precisely so you do not have to. If you do not have a data analyst on the team, this option looks cheap in the spreadsheet and expensive in reality.
6. Lifetimely or a Shopify cohort report — if all you want out of this is LTV
Plenty of people come to Polar looking for one thing: understanding customer LTV and cohorts. If that is you, there are two-figure-a-month options that do exactly that and nothing else. Polar compares itself to Lifetimely on its own site, which is a signal that it recognizes the demand. We do not do LTV or cohorts, so we are not the answer here.
7. Polar plus Escalafy — if you sell on Shopify, Amazon and Mercado Libre
It is the least obvious option and for some operations it is the right one. If your brand already has Polar feeding its Snowflake from Shopify and Amazon, and what is missing is the Mercado Libre channel with its real commissions, the cost of installments and the settlement forecast, you do not have to choose. The two tools look at different things and they coexist. It costs quite a bit less than moving up a band on Polar to get something Polar does not have at any price.
How to choose without going in circles
- You sell on Shopify and Amazon: stay on Polar Analytics.
- You have a data team and you want SQL on your own warehouse: stay on Polar Analytics.
- You want to measure incrementality properly, with a data scientist: Polar Analytics, and pay per test.
- You want the dashboard without the warehouse, and you sell on Shopify only: Triple Whale.
- What you need is the data going out to GA4 and the ad platforms: Littledata or Elevar.
- You only want LTV and cohorts: an LTV tool, not a platform.
- You have a data analyst and time: build the warehouse and put Metabase on top.
- You sell on Tiendanube or Mercado Libre, collect through Mercado Pago, and your question is whether you made money: Escalafy.
- Both things: both tools. It usually costs less than moving up a band on either one.
