Activating the Escalafy Pixel doesn't require a developer, touching code or configuring tag containers. This guide explains what you need and, above all, what to expect afterward.
What you need to connect
- Your store — Shopify or Tiendanube
- Your ad accounts — Meta, and optionally Google and TikTok
- Klaviyo, if you use it for email
If you've already set up your Escalafy account, most of these connections are already in place.
The step-by-step flow inside the platform is evolving while we finish the new setup experience. If you want to activate it now, message us and we'll get it running with you on the same call.
Before you activate it: take your baseline
This is the most important part and almost nobody does it. Before activating, write down:
- The sales your store shows for the last 30 days
- The purchases Meta Ads Manager reports for the same period
- Your current EMQ for the Purchase event (Meta Events Manager)
- Your average CPA
Without that starting snapshot, you won't be able to prove the improvement.
What to expect, and when
- First 24 hours — server-side events start arriving. EMQ doesn't move yet.
- Days 2 to 4 — the purchase event's EMQ starts rising in Events Manager.
- Days 5 to 7 — the gap between what your store records and what Meta records visibly narrows.
- Weeks 2 to 4 — the algorithm has optimized on the new data. This is where you see the effect on CPA and on lookalike audience performance.
How to tell if it's working
Measure the same four things you wrote down before and compare. Signs it's going well:
- The purchase event's EMQ went up
- The gap between your store and Meta narrowed
- Meta reports more purchases without you raising your budget
And inside Escalafy you'll see something Meta doesn't show you: which of those recovered conversions left you real profit after all costs.
