Inventory doesn't deduct stock on orders with custom shipping

If you set up custom shipping (motorcycle couriers, your own logistics) but stock isn't deducted on those orders, the problem is usually in the warehouse settings.

If you set up your custom shipping costs correctly but stock isn't deducted on orders that use that method, the problem is in the warehouse settings, not in the shipping logic.

Why it happens

Escalafy deducts stock through warehouses. When an order comes in with a shipping method the warehouse doesn't have enabled, the system doesn't know which warehouse the products shipped from, so it doesn't deduct anything.

How to fix it

  1. Go to Inventory → Warehouses.
  2. Open the warehouse that covers the orders with custom shipping.
  3. Check that the shipping method is enabled to deduct stock.
  4. Save the changes and then reprocess the affected orders for the matching date range.

After reprocessing: reload the page to see the updated inventory. If stock goes up instead of down after reprocessing, something else is at play — contact us on WhatsApp with an example order and we'll take a look.

When does it hit hardest?

This issue is most common in stores that use their own motorcycle couriers, third-party logistics or any shipping method that isn't natively integrated with the store. If you operate in Greater Buenos Aires (GBA) or in areas where Flex shipping is the norm, check this setting.
