Mercado Libre covered a claim and paid me — how does it show in Escalafy?

When ML marks an order as refunded, Escalafy records it as a return even if ML paid you. How to log that income correctly.

When Mercado Libre covers a claim and refunds the buyer, the order appears as refunded in the ML API — even if ML also paid you as the seller. Escalafy records it as a return.

What Escalafy records

The data ML sends marks the order as refunded. So Escalafy treats it as a return: no revenue, but with the product and shipping costs deducted from your profitability. The payment ML made directly to you is not included in the order data, so Escalafy doesn't see it.

How to record it correctly

To get your profitability right, log the amount ML paid you as external revenue on the date of the sale. That way the income is counted in your real profit.

You can do this from Settings → External revenue.
